hi! i don’t use a scanner (unless i have an awesome drawing on paper and wanna ink it in digitally). i open up photoshop cs2 and have my wacom pen ready and just draw whatever i feel like. i usually use hard round 3 pixel brush. and when i color my drawings, the opacity and flow are both at 50 percent so it looks like i did it with marker on paper. they’re usually just two layers. its pretty simple stuff.
